For everyone interested in turning
Who are we?
We are a friendly group of enthusiasts who enjoy the art and craft of woodturning. We have over 80 members of all abilities, from absolute beginner to advanced and professional.
What do we do?
The club meets at 19:15 on the third Wednesday of every month. We have either a guest turner or a club night ‘turn-in’, where some members demonstrate various projects and techniques and others can try ‘hands on.’ We also run an all day Master Class twice a year for a more in-depth demonstration.
Where are we?
Meetings are held at the St. John Ambulance Hall, Fraser Road, Havant, Hants. PO9 3EJ (map).
Can I learn to turn?
Yes, monthly beginner and novice training sessions are run on a Saturday morning where "hands on" instruction is given.
Can I come along?
Yes, we welcome guests and new members of all abilities, please make yourself known to either the treasurer or secretary on arrival. You may come as a guest initially, to see if you like what we are doing.
Is it expensive?
We don't think so, guest charge for a single evening is £2 (max 3 visits), annual sunbscription is £28 and Saturday training is £5 per session.
Embroidered badges are available to attach to attach to your smock, overalls etc.
